The Importance of Humanization in Family Health Strategy Care: A Literature Review

The Family Health Strategy (FHS) is one of the fundamental pillars of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), playing a central role in health promotion and the humanization of care. This study aims to analyze, through a literature review, the importance of humanization in the daily practices of the FHS, considering the bond, welcoming, and comprehensiveness of care. This is a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive research study that used SciELO, LILACS, and BVS as databases, with publications between 2013 and 2025. The results show that humanization is a continuous and relational process that involves empathy, qualified listening, and ethical commitment to the other. It is concluded that the FHS, by incorporating humanized practices, transforms the daily lives of communities, reinforcing the social role of the SUS as a promoter of citizenship and equity.
