FATORES DETERMINANTES PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DE TRANSTORNOS MENTAIS EM CRIANÇAS E ADOLESCENTES: UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA

Resumo

Segundo a Organização Mundial da Saúde, aproximadamente 10% a 20% dos jovens sofrem com doenças mentais e 50% dos transtornos mentais em adultos começam na infância, sendo um tema de grande relevância global. Dessa forma, esse estudo é uma revisão narrativa de literatura que teve como objetivo analisar os principais fatores determinantes para o desenvolvimento de transtornos mentais em crianças e adolescentes. Foram incluídos artigos publicados entre 2019 e 2024, na base de dados PubMed, escritos em português ou inglês. As palavras chaves utilizadas foram “Mental Health”, “Child Behavior", "Child Abuse" e "Child Development". Foram excluídos artigos que, além de não preencherem os critérios de inclusão, não tratavam diretamente da saúde mental de crianças e adolescentes ou estudos de caso isolados e revisões com dados inconclusivos. O estudo concluiu que pandemias impactam negativamente a saúde mental de crianças e adolescentes, sobretudo devido ao isolamento social. Da mesma forma, os maus-tratos infantis estão fortemente relacionados aos quadros de ansiedade, depressão, transtorno de estresse pós-traumático e ideação suicida. Outros fatores relacionados com o desenvolvimento de transtornos psicológicos são: a falta da prática de atividade física, dieta desbalanceada, divórcio dos pais e grande exposição ao uso de telas. Assim, o estudo se torna importante de modo que o tema tenha maior relevância entre os profissionais de área, para que o rastreio seja feito de forma minuciosa no sistema de saúde.
