Innovation and Equity in Public Health: Challenges and Responses in the Post-Pandemic Scenario

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the transformations and challenges faced by public health in the post-pandemic period, focusing on the dimensions of innovation and equity. The global health crisis caused by the pandemic highlighted historical inequalities and spurred significant changes in management practices, public policies, and care models. This qualitative, bibliographic study investigates how the incorporation of new technologies, management strategies, and inclusive policies can strengthen public health systems, ensuring universal and equitable access. The analyses demonstrate that innovation should be understood not only as a technological tool but also as a cultural and institutional transformation geared towards social justice and sustainability. It concludes that strengthening equity in health depends on the integration of innovation, intersectoral policies, and effective social participation.
