Human finitude is an inevitable reality that sparks profound reflections on the meaning of life, suffering, and how each individual faces the dying process. In the field of health, bioethics emerges as an essential tool to guide decisions involving the end of life, balancing principles such as dignity, autonomy, and care. Advances in medical technologies have allowed for the prolongation of existence, but have also brought ethical dilemmas about the extent to which it is legitimate to intervene in the face of death. Thus, considering finitude from a bioethical perspective means recognizing dying as part of the human condition and defending the right to a dignified and respectful death.
