Abstract

The Family Health Strategy (ESF) represents a care model structured around health promotion, disease prevention, and continuous monitoring of individuals and communities. In this context, the physician acts not only in curative care but also as an integrating agent for the biological, social, and emotional needs of patients. Understanding the role of this professional is fundamental to strengthening comprehensive, humanized care that is close to the reality of the population.
